Who this notice covers

This notice describes how Living62 handles personal information when you visit a Living62 website, request a reverse mortgage quote, complete counseling-related steps, or apply for a reverse mortgage.

Living62 is a reverse mortgage brand of CDL Mortgage Services Inc. (“CDL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), NMLS #132263, California DRE #01118984. CDL is the licensed mortgage company responsible for the information described in this policy. Living62 is not a separate lender for purposes of this notice.

This policy is provided under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and other applicable federal and state privacy laws.

The short version

  • We collect what we need to quote, process, and broker a reverse mortgage, and to run this website.
  • We do not sell your nonpublic personal information.
  • We do not share your personal information with nonaffiliated third parties for their own marketing.
  • We share information with wholesale lenders, HUD/FHA where a HECM is involved, credit and verification vendors, title, appraisal, insurance, and counseling parties, and regulators — only as needed and as the law allows.
  • Most information collected for a loan application is covered by federal financial-privacy rules. Some website data is covered by state privacy laws. Your rights depend on which bucket the information falls into.
  • Call (916) 624-0767 or email team@cdlmtg.com to ask a privacy question or make a request.

5. Your privacy rights

California residents — CCPA/CPRA

Most information collected in connection with a loan application is exempt from the CCPA under Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.145(e). For non-exempt personal information, such as website usage data, you have the right to:

  • Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
  • Delete personal information, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms)
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information
  • Non-discrimination for exercising these rights

To exercise these rights, contact us at team@cdlmtg.com or (916) 624-0767. We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within 45 days, as required by law. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

Texas residents — TDPSA

The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act gives you the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and certain profiling. Data covered by the GLBA is exempt. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. To exercise applicable rights, use the contact information in Section 10. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. We will respond to an appeal within 60 days.

Other states we serve

Residents of Tennessee are protected under the Tennessee Information Protection Act (effective July 1, 2025), which provides similar rights for non-GLBA data. Residents of Georgia, Oklahoma, and Idaho are protected by their states’ data-breach notification and financial privacy laws.

Wherever you live, we apply the GLBA safeguards in this policy to customer nonpublic personal information, and we will honor a verified request to access or correct your information where applicable law requires it.

6. Credit reports (FCRA)

We obtain consumer credit reports only with your written authorization and only for a permissible purpose under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You have the right to:

  • Know if information in your credit file was used against you
  • Dispute inaccurate information with the credit bureaus
  • Get a free credit report at annualcreditreport.com

If we take adverse action based on your credit report, you will receive the required notice identifying the credit reporting agency used.

7. Cookies, calls, texts, and email

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functions and analytics. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

If you give us your phone number, you consent to calls and text messages about your inquiry or application. Consent to marketing texts is never a condition of obtaining a loan. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP (Telephone Consumer Protection Act).

Marketing emails include an unsubscribe option where the CAN-SPAM Act requires one.

8. How we protect your information

We maintain a written information security program under the FTC Safeguards Rule (16 CFR Part 314). Safeguards include:
